Watkins Glen, NY (July 5 2009) – ADSA/Wright Racing completed a successful weekend at Watkins Glen for rounds seven and eight of the 2009 F2000 Championship Series season. Driver Al Guibord, Jr. stole the show on the three car team, which ANZE provides engineering support for, Guibord finished fourth in the first race, followed by a third place finish in race number two. Guibord also notched the fastest lap in the race and nearly passed eventual winner Phil Lombardi for the lead in the closing stages of the race.
“We have been working on new suspension setups all year and what we came up with this past weekend at the Glen was very promising,” said Angelo Zarra, President of ANZE Engineering and Chief Engineer for ADSA/Wright . “I am not about to reveal our shock valving changes.”
Al Guibord, Jr commented: “That car was perfect during the race and never went away, it felt like it was on rails. I could turn those kind of lap times all day long.”
