Öhlins motorcycle shocks and applications.
We can offer more than 300 different shock absorber models, each tailor-made for one specific bike. We can also offer a wide range of steering dampers and front end products from full Öhlins front forks to cartridge kits and spare parts. Everything made to improve the performance and comfort of your bike.
Shock Absorbers – Types and Adjustments
Start by finding out which shock absorber fits your bike. Then identify whick kind of shock absorber it is and which adjustment features.

TTX36 MkII
The TTX36 has brought bikes and riders to the top steps of the podium many times and has been an obvious choice for winners’ bikes. Now it can be on your bike too.
For 2012 we release this successful shock absorber in a developed Mk II version. The dynamic behavior is improved further thanks to reinforced tubes, new piston and piston bands. Check valves are also improved in terms of the opening force and closing force and each and every part has been under the sharp eyes of our engineers.
The result is a even more refined shock absorber with the latest developments from Öhlins, all learned from experience in MotoGP and WSBK.
The TTX36 shock absorber is available for most major Hypersport models.
FEATURES:
– TTX-technology – no cavitation risk
– Improved traction and grip
– Less hysteresis, improved dynamics of the shock absorber
– Better ground contact feel
– Integrated hydraulic preload adjuster (if it fits on the bike geometry)
– New design of the adjuster housing
– Wide adjuster range
– Seperated functions for rebound and compression damping
– All adjustments are done on the cylinder head of the shock absorber
S36 P
The S36 line with the Piggyback reservoir is one of the most common shock absorbers for the Sport and Touring segment.
It’s made to fit a large range of models and it’s a montotube high pressure gas type of shock absorber, in these configurations with a piggy back reservoir.
It comes in several different lengths and both with and without compression and rebound adjusters depending on the model.
Adjustment features
C1 – Adjustable compression damping. Adjuster on reservoir
C2 – Adjustable high & low speed compression damping.
Mechanical spring preload adjuster
C4 – Electronically controlled (EC) compression damping
R1 – Adjustable rebound damping. Adjuster wheel on end-eye
R1 – Adjustable rebound with adjuster on the reservoir
R4 – Electronically controlled (EC) rebound damping adjuster
R4 – Electronically controlled (EC) rebound damping adjuster
S – Hose mounted hydraulic spring preload adjuster
S1 – Electronically controlled (EC) hydraulic preload adjuster
B – Integrated hydraulic spring preload adjuster
L – Adjustable length
Mechanical spring preload adjuster
TTX36
The TTX36 shock absorber is available for a number of sports bikes where this successful and high performance shock absorber is the perfect choice for upgrading your sports bike.
It adds loads of performance for the track while still give a higher level of comfort.
The dynamic behaviour is improved further thanks to reinforced tubes, new piston and piston bands. Check valves are also improved in terms of the opening force and closing force and each and every part has been under the sharp eyes of our engineers.
The result is a even more refined shock absorber with the latest developments from Öhlins, all learned from experience in MotoGP and WSBK and put to good use on both the road and the track.
FEATURES:
– TTX-technology – no cavitation risk
– Improved traction and grip
– Less hysteresis, improved dynamics of the shock absorber
– Better ground contact feel
– Integrated hydraulic preload adjuster (if it fits on the bike geometry)

S46
The Öhlins S46 shock absorber is also available as a hypersport application for bikes where the TTX36 doesn’t fit.
The S46 shock absorber with a 46 mm piston is available in several different applications for the hypersport models.
The hypersport models are fully adjustable.
