Newman Racing Installs ANZE Racing Struts

Connecticut (May 9 2009) – – One of the last “fun” vehicles to come out of Newman Racing was a just completed with the final touch, a set of custom ANZE Racing Struts. The project took life as a Volvo V90 luxury car with a shoe horned 2006 LS2 Corvette engine. This project was going along well until the team realized they need to get through the corners too, and the stock front struts were not going to cut it. The team knew that ANZE Suspension could make a set to fit, as there was no off the shelf “high performance” front strut application available for this Volvo. The team gathered at “the shop” to finish the car and take it out on a “shake down” run. The car was removed from the scales, a dealer tag thrown on, and four members of the team climbed into the four-door Volvo. After the completing the city loop and around town stops for lunch, the driver decided to head to the highway, more particularly, the on and off ramps, no doubt the back seat passengers had some influence on this. “Well we were all impressed, the car stuck like glue had little roll but was comfortable to drive anywhere,” said Pete Traglia of Newman Racing. Special Thanks to Newman Racing, Pete Traglia, and PLN.
